The height and shape of the front scuttle hoop was found by running a straight edge from the nosecone over the scuttle panel to a chunk of hardboard clamped to the very trailing edge of the scuttle frame (at the bottom). The hardboard was cut along the line traced by the straight edge, and the 3/4" strap shaped to match the hardboard (which will later be used as a template for the dash).
