Lay the template flat on the aluminium and trace all around it. Cut about 1" larger than the template all around to make it easier to adjust after fitting. Leave the cutouts until the shape has been verified. The front edge should be a straight line from the top to the bottom. Mark a cut line 2 1/2 to 3 times the diameter of the wire used for the edge, and trim. I used a strand 14g electrical wire still in it's inner sheath for the edge wire. Cut out a small square from the top leading edge, then fold the leading edge inside 90 degrees over a straight piece of wood. Then place the front edge on a soft piece of wood, clamp the wire in place, and slowly finish folding the aluminium around the wire to create the edge. Now refit the template, mark and cut out only the top holes for the suspension brackets.
